and Mrs. James H. Bumen of 1911 Lunbeck Road, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Tuesday. Mr. Bumen and the former Jane M.

McKee were married June 16, 1962 in the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Raymond Welch officiating. Mr. Bumen is owner of Scioto Valley Precast Co. They are the parents of Mrs.

Jeb (Julie) Stewart of Chillicothe, and Jay Bumen at home. -They have one granddaughter, Megan Stewart. An open house, hosted by their children, was held at the Bumen Mr. and Mrs. James H.

Eugene Koop of Kettering. Miss Barbee is a 1986 graduate of Southeastern High School, and a 1987 graduate of Ohio State School of Cosmetology. She is selfemployed at Country Style, Richmond Dale. 0 Mr. Koop is a 1986 graduate of Archbishop Alter High School, and a'4990 graduate of the University of Dayton with a bachelor of science degree in engineering.

He is employed by ABB Process Automation, Columbus. The couple are planning a Sept. 5 Melissa Barbee wedding in St. Mary's Church. Anthony Koop Stanton-White Grace Stanton of Chillicothe, and William Stanton of Dunwoody, announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Ann, to Jon S.

White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix White of Oberlin. 1-Miss Stanton, a 1983 Chillicothe High School graduate, is employed as an administrative assistant by John Alden Life Insurance Dublin. 0 Mr.

White is employed as a researcher by Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus. The couple are planning a Sept. 5 wedding in Walnut Street United Methodist Church. Kaltenbach-Okada de William and Pamela Kaltenbach of 16 Leeds Road, announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela to Shigeru Okada, son of Tomio and Noriko Okada of Nagano-City, Nagano-Ken, Japan. Kaltenbach is a senior at Ohio University, where she is majoring in anthropology, with a minor in linguistics.

Mr. Okada received a bachelor's degree in biology from Chiba University, Japan, and a master's degree in biology from Niigata University, Japan. He is a doctoral candidate at Ohio University in molecular and cellular biology. The couple are planning an Aug. 22 wedding in St.

Mary's Church. Kepp-Smith Stephen B. and Debbie S. Kepp off 124 Reservation Circle, announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Michelle, to Shane Jeffrey Smith, son of Steven and Jennifer Smith of 562 Vine St. Miss Kepp is a 1992 graduate of Unioto High School and PickawayRoss Vocational Center.

She is employed by Rax Restaurant. Mr. Smith is a 1992 graduate of Chillicothe High School and Pickaway-Ross Vocational Center. He plans to enter the military in September. The couple are planning a December wedding in Grace Church.

Packard-Kerns Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Packard of Baltimore, announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Carole, to Kent Wesley Kerns, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Lawrence E. Kerns of Kingston. Miss Packard is a 1986 graduate of Liberty Union High School, and a $1991 graduate of the University of Grande with a bachelor's deagree in elementary and special edlucation. She is employed by St. Bernadette School, Lancaster.

Mr. Kerns is a 1987 graduate of Trace High School, and a $1992 graduate of Mount St. Joseph with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. The couple are planning an 11 a.m., Aug. 1, open church wedding in St.

Mary's Church, Lancaster. Youth to attend conference Joe Woodfork, Woodfork and Woodfork of Chillicothe, has been selected to attend The National Young Leaders Conference, sponsored by the Congressional ership Council, July. 7-12 in Washington, D.C. son of Tony Martha Garnes The theme is "The Leaders of Tomorrow Meeting the Leaders of Today," where 350 high school students meet with key leaders from the three branches of government, media and the diplomatic corps. Woodfork is a junior at Unioto High School, and has been a Buckeye Boys State delegate.
