Calling hours are after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Obituaries Carroll James Southworth Carroll James Southworth, 86, Adena Apartments, died 7:45 p.m. April his home after an extended illness. He was born Dec.

10, 1896, in Chillicothe to Val and Katherine Carroll Southworth. On June 7, 1922, he married the former Margaret "Bess" Parker who survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard V. Southworth, Chillicothe; two grandMrs. Charles (Judith) Fadden, Trenton, Richard Southworth, Reynoldsburg; two greatgrandsons, Sean and Erin Fadden, Trenton; two sisters, Mrs.

Elizabeth McAvoey, Mrs. Katherine Snyder, both of Binghamton, N.Y. Mr. Southworth, a World War I Navy veteran, was a retired VA employee. He was a lifetime, member of the Legion Post 62 where he was a bugler for many years.

He also was a member of St. Mary's Church where Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Robert S. Reilly officiating.

Burial in St. Margaret Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. today with a wake service at 7 p.m. Millie J.

Dawson Mrs. Millie J. Dawson, 86, formerly of Clarksburg, died 4:10 p.m. April 29 in Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness. She was born March 23, 1897, in Ross County to Alen and Rebecca Orihood Gilmerr.

On Nov. 28, 1917, she married Ed Dawson who died April 27, 1962. Surviving are a son, William A. Dawson, Infirmary Lane; a grandaughter, Mrs. Eric (Debbie) Anderson, Chillicothe; a great-grandson, Dustin Dennewitz, Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. Mrs. Dawson was a member of Clarksburg United Methodist Church and the W.C.T.U. Private graveside services were to have been held Monday morning in Browns Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Leslie M.

Myers officiating under the direction of Ware Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross County Easter Seal Society, in care of Huntington National Bank, P.O. 106. Jessie Carter Jessie Carter, 93, formerly of Blain Highway died 4 a.m. May 2 in Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born May 10, 1889, in Lawrence County, to Granville and Mary Jane Hinton McComis. On Aug. 17, 1907, she married Landon Carter who died May 28, 1960. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Willard (Ella) Barber, Wurtland, Mrs.

Jones Jr. Henry N. Jones 69, Laurelville, died 12:15 a.m. April 29 in Riverside Hospital, Columbus. He was born Dec.

4, 1913, in Chillicothe to Henry N. and Alma Albin Jones. He is survived by his mother who lives in West Jefferson. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John (Jenette) West, Gallaway, Mrs.

Florence Wills, Springfield; and two nieces. Mr. Jones was retired from the Franklin County Engineers Department. was a registered surveyor. He was a member of the Westgate Friends Church and also a member of the Laurel Valley Grange.

His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with the Rev. Galon Weingart officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Wilkins. On June 7, 1945, he married the former Adaline Bates who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. James (Donna Jean) Scott, Hopewell, Mrs. David (Madaline) Trego, Mrs.
